Second OrderLabs

Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 June 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Second Order Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17077703), with its registered office at 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using Mutiny, you agree to them.

What Mutiny is

Mutiny is a goal-support app. It helps you work toward a goal you care about through check-ins and the support of allies you invite. We've grounded its design in behavioural science, but it is a tool for personal goals — it is not medical care, therapy, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for any of those. If you're struggling with your mental or physical health, please speak to a qualified professional.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mutiny. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method (your Apple or Google account, email, or passkey) secure. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

Your content

Everything you create in Mutiny — your goals, check-ins, comments, and reactions — belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it for one purpose: to provide the app to you and the allies you invite, including delivering notifications that may contain your content. We claim no other rights over it. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Allies

Allies are people you explicitly invite, or who invite you. When you accept an ally connection, you'll see some of each other's content, as described in the Privacy Policy. Invite people you trust. You can remove an ally at any time, which ends visibility in both directions. Be a decent ally: the reactions and notes you send should support, not harm.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Mutiny to:

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. To report content or behaviour that concerns you, email hello@secondorderlabs.net — we review reports promptly.

Price

Mutiny is currently free. We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, we will tell you clearly what costs money and what it costs before you pay anything — we will never silently start charging you.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Mutiny reliable, but we provide it "as is" and can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add, or remove features as the product evolves. If we ever decide to shut Mutiny down, we will give you reasonable notice so you can export or save what matters to you.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Mutiny and delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms. These terms end when your account is deleted, except for the sections that by their nature should survive (such as limitations of liability).

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — or affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Beyond that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you started using Mutiny, losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, or any business losses. Mutiny is a personal goal-support tool; you are responsible for the decisions you make in pursuit of your goals.

Intellectual property

The Mutiny app, its design, and the Second Order Labs and Mutiny names are owned by us or our licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights in them beyond the use of the app itself.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will update this page and let you know in the app before the changes take effect. Continuing to use Mutiny after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protection given to you by the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.
